kit-built aircraft will require a larger down payment and the loan term will generally
be shorter.
In certain instances, loans for experimental aircraft may require an appraisal based
upon aircraft type or loan size. However, usually a description of your airplane,
the avionics, and the engine and airframe times will be all that is needed. Applications
for experimental airplanes from a corporation, LLC, or flying club are still decisioned
based on the individual owner’s credit history and require a personal guarantee.
